Taste of Class offers a fun, educational wine-tasting experience for small groups who want to expand their knowledge and appreciation of wine. Whether it's an evening with friends, a family gathering or a business event, Taste of Class caters to your needs. You provide the guests and the location. I provide a personalized wine-tasting experience.

As a professional communicator, I can "pair" messages with the wines to complement any event theme or convey key concepts to your audience. Let's be creative and build a wine-tasting experience that will leave your guests with lasting memories.

How it works

Initial consultation: We'll chat about about your needs and preferred dates.
Booking: A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure your booking.
Wine selection: About one to two weeks before your event, I'll help you choose the wines. If you're unsure about your guests' wine preferences, I can send you a link to a short survey that you and your guests complete to inform the wine selections. I meet you at the Willow Park Wines & Spirits Grasslands location or Southland Sobeys Liquor to choose the wines. You pay for the wines and take them with you. Alternatively, I can provide you with a list of wines to purchase.
Cheese pairings: As part of the event fee, I'll provide recommended cheese pairings. Individual cheese boards are available for an additional fee. (Cost of cheese varies, so I'll work within your budget.)
Set up and tasting: I arrive about 30 minutes early to set up the day of your event. I bring all the wine glasses, tasting placemats and individual cheese boards (if applicable). You and your guests taste a sample of each wine and learn about the grapes, the wineries and the wine regions. It's a hands-on experience (hands on a wine glass, that is!).
Clean up: After the final pour, I pack up the glassware and cheese boards (if applicable) so you can carry on with your gathering. If guests have wine remaining, I provide reusable plastic wine glasses so people can finish up their final sips at their own pace. You can upgrade to keepsake Taste of Class stemless wine glasses for $5 per person (payable with your final payment).
Post-event survey: Tell me about your experience and be entered into a prize draw.

Pricing

Tasting experience for up to six participants: $200 (add $25 for each additional participant). Additional charges apply for locations outside Regina city limits.
- Price change: Starting January 1, 2024, a tasting experience for up to six participants will be $250 (add $25 for each additional participant).
For more than 12 participants or for corporate events, please contact me for a quote.
Wine and any food you choose to serve are not included in the above-noted prices.
Individual, perfectly paired cheese boards are available at an additional cost. Contact me for a quote.
Keepsake stemless tasting glasses (glass): $5 each
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required upon booking, with the remaining fees payable by cash or e-transfer to tasteofclass.wine@gmail.com the day of the tasting.

The tasting experience includes pre-event consultation, professionally curated wine selections, recommendations for cheese pairings, event tasting note preparation and the use of professional tasting glasses (including washing/sanitizing and polishing).

I work in partnership with Nikki from RSMRY Private Dining to offer a unique dinner party for 6 to 20 guests with wines paired to each course. Learn food and wine pairing tips and indulge all of your senses to elevate your appreciation of wine and food – right from your own home!

RSMRY is a small, local private dining and catering company that offers an intimate, fine-dining experience. Impress your guests with a private chef in your own home. Nikki cooks, cleans, and handles everything in between. All you have to worry about is having a good time!

RSMRY also offers charcuterie platters in different sizes with meats, cheeses and other delectable items. Prices vary depending on platter size. Or, if you’re looking for more to munch on as part of your tasting experience, RSMRY offers grazing tables with appetizers, charcuterie, cheeses, fruits, veggies and desserts.
